Wallasey Golf Club
Located on the Wirral Peninsula overlooking Liverpool Bay and the Irish
Sea this club was founded in 1891, and is notable as the home of the
Stableford system of points scoring, developed by club member Dr Frank
Stableford and first used in competition in 1932. The course is described
as a true test of golf due in part to the prevailing northwesterly winds
and the variety of holes and natural terrain.
