Anne Tasker, Restaurant Team Member

Anne has worked for Centre Island for over 13 years and has been an invaluable member of the Crowne Plaza team since the day the hotel opened; she is the person to see for breakfast!

What does your job involve?

Supervising the breakfast buffet - making sure all the items are fresh and well stocked.

What did you always want to do when you left school?

Own my own business.

What do you like about your job?

Meeting people from all different walks of life, welcoming back regular guests, and seeing people enjoying their stay.

Your most embarrassing work related experience?

Somebody taking a new egg, thinking that it was boiled.

What's the most random question you have ever been asked?

Where are the glasses and plates, when they were right in front of the guest (that's what a heavy night does for you!).

Your most memorable guest, and why?

Mr Hewitt was a regular guest of the hotel for many years whilst working in Liverpool, a lovely man always very chatty even early in the morning.

What have been the highlights of your career?

Meeting very interesting people from all walks of life, it's been a pleasure.

Who do you most admire in your profession and why?

Daniel my breakfast Manger - he is always in early with a smile on his face, geeing us all on during very busy times with a joke, he never stops moving. Look out for him when you visit the hotel.
