100th Anniversary of the Royal Liver Building

Liverpool is getting ready to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the iconic Royal Liver Building, an intregal part of the cities world heritage status. For those of us whose memories include sitcoms of the 1970’s it was made famous in the starting credits of the Liver Birds. This  irreverent insite into the lives 2 local girls sharing a flat and all that life could throw at them.

The building is also home to the mystical Liver Birds that adjourn the football shirts of Liverpool FC and are very much a part of Liverpool life.

A great weekend of celebration is scheduled this weekend at the pier head outside the hotels front door.
